Fit Friday

It's finally Friday lovahhs!! Is it just me or was this week super long? I've been scrambling around all week preparing for my Mexico trip and still have so many last minute things to get done! Anyways, Like Brooke, I've been trying to step it up in the fitness department lately. I got way off track this winter (who doesn't?) and started to not feel like myself. I'm on my feet all day at work and walk 1.5 miles to and from work everyday so the last thing I want to do when I get home is hit the gym! This week I signed up at a smaller fitness boutique by my house that offers pilates, yoga, boot-camp and kickboxing classes. Once I'm back from Mexico I plan on attending those 4-5 days a week to get me back on track. If you all have any fitness tips please let us know! We are always looking for delicious recipes and tips on how to stay on track!

Finding the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans can seem like an impossible task. Figuring out the right fit for your body type is key - all boyfriends are not created equal. After what feels like years (because it has been), I've finally purchased two pairs that I love. I'm always getting questions about both, so I wanted to share both of them with you today. The first pair are perfectly distressed, and so comfortable, I've been wearing these a lot lately. Sadly, they are sold out right now (as of yesterday!), but be sure to check back because Shopbop often restocks items. The other pair I have are the ones I get the most questions about. I wasn't sure if I was going to keep these when I first purchased them, but after one wear, I was hooked. All sizes were just re-stocked in this pair, and I'm sure they will be sold out again soon, so pull the trigger if you're contemplating (you can always return - free shipping!). I love the rips on this pair - they are all perfectly placed, and have the right amount of "shredding." I've found a few more pairs that I'd love to add to my closet below - boyfriends can be addicting!

Black & White

Happy hump day loves! I'm getting excited for this week to be over with since I leave for Mexico this Saturday - only three short days away! I wore this outfit for a casual day in the city - coffee, errands, then met a girlfriend later for cocktails. Simple outfits like this are great if you want to wear a look from day to night. I of course replaced the sandals with heels and threw on some red lipstick and was ready to go!

Leather And Lace

Happy Tuesday, ladies! Hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! We spent ours house hunting - more on that another day. The weather was so great here all weekend, it really felt like summer. I threw on a little lace dress to head to dinner, and wanted to make it a little edgier with this moto jacket and booties. It has to be a special occasion for me to really dress up, but this is a perfect example of how to take something pretty fancy (lace dress), and dress it down with other pieces (leather). Have an amazing day! Xx

Spring Essential: The Trench

Happy Friday + Memorial Day Weekend lady loves! Hope you have fun plans for the long weekend, because I don't! After a whirlwind past 2 weeks, I'm looking forward to catching up on some sleep, and running around the city with my fam. My hubs and I celebrated 4 years (together not marriage) last night, sort of by accident. We had already made a reservation for our weekly date night, and realized later in the day that it was our 4th anniversary of meeting - we've been together since the day we met. Funny enough, we met at the Mondrian in Maimi, and our reservations were at the Mondrian SoHo.

Anyway, on to the topic of today - the trench. This is the perfect jacket for three seasons (four if you live in California) - spring, summer, and fall, but it's essential for spring and cooler summer nights. I have a few trench coats which are currently on heavy rotation. I recommend investing in one that is a bit more expensive (when it comes to a trench coat, you get what you pay for) because it's never going out of style, and the material will be much better...aka it won't wrinkle like crazy every time you sit down. I'll admit, I was in line at H&M doing a celebratory dance because I found a great trench for $30 - but it's so hard to wear because it wrinkles SO easily, so I've been reaching for my 7 For All Mankind trench recently - it never wrinkles, and it's a bit heavier. The pink trench I posted last week has actually been pretty good about not wrinkling, so I am happy with that one as well. If you do want to invest in one that's a bit more, buy a classic color - you'll never get tired of it (I've had my 7 For All Mankind trench for 5 years!).

Color Crush: Blush

Happy Thursday my lovely ladies! Only one day till the weekend - yay! I wore this dress for my brother's graduation party last Friday and received so many compliments on it! It's very simple but I love how feminine and chic it is! I have really been loving the color blush lately - I just purchased this swimsuit (Mexico trip is so soon!) and this dress from Revolve - can't wait to get them in the mail! I'm also looking for the perfect blush purse, so send some cute ones my way! Hope you all have an amazing day! xo

During the week, I'm busy running errands after a trip to the gym, and I've been on the hunt for some more stylish sportswear pieces. My mom treated me to this amazing Nike poncho last week while she was in town, and I'm already obsessed. It's the perfect thing to throw on post-workout; you can run errands without looking sloppy, and I've received so many compliments on it already. This is definitely going to be a staple in my wardrobe - it would be great with jeans as well, and it's beyond comfortable. I've rounded up a few of my favorite sportswear items below - I'm a big believer in mixing these items in with your everyday wardrobe. For me, comfort and function are key (since all of my errands are on foot), and I'm looking forward to adding a few of these pieces to my closet. PS - Nordstrom is having a huge sale today and tomorrow (plus double points for cardholders). Happy Hump Day, ladies!
