In My Home: Styled Shelves

As I mentioned in my fireplace before & after post, we added built-in shelves on either side of the fireplace, and I finally have them styled. I don't feel like they're completely done, or exactly how I want, but wanted to share what they look like right now with you!
I love these marble bookends, wood shapes, and hourglass together - I've always wanted an hourglass and love the navy sand in this one.
I've been wanting these stools since they first came out, and finally pulled the trigger during a recent sale. This stool is a great budget-friendly option as well, the look is almost identical!

I got this dress at Aritzia in the fall (also found a dupe under $20 here), and am still obsessed - it's so comfortable. I threw on a moto jacket over top with these sneakers (I love these and my Stan Smith's equally) to run errands. I'm going to be purchasing this dress in a few more colors for spring/summer.
dress (identical under $20 here) | sneakers | jacket (similar) | bag (budget-friendly options here and here under $30) | nail polish

I don't typically wear anything this dressy unless I'm going to an event, but I just got this dress and I couldn't wait to wear it, so threw it on for date night. The material is seriously awesome - it's thick and kind of has a foamy consistency, so it hides any imperfections. I'm wearing a size small. I've been living in these sandals (on sale now!) and love them - the chunky heel is perfect!

I went home last week and this is what I wore on the plane. Comfort is key when traveling with a baby - I'm basically a human jungle gym on the plane ;) I love this Madewell tee and have it in so many colors! It's quality and doesn't break the bank.

I wore this top and jacket to dinner with a friend last weekend. It's hard to tell in the picture but my jacket is a dark purple and it's ahhhmazing! It also comes in a gorgeous blue (linked below).

Day to Night

I love any look that you can wear from day to night. A basic tee, moto jacket, distressed denim and sneakers (these are my go-to but also love these) is a casual cool look for the day. Throw on a pair pumps (also love this chunky heel) and you're ready for happy hour! A few of you have asked about the sizing on these jeans - I got a 25 and they're true to size. They are one of my favorite pairs and are under $100!
I've been meaning to share with you ladies this namesake ring from Kerry Gilligan. It has Camden's name on it with diamonds between each letter and his birthdate engraved on the inside. I wear mine everyday stacked with my love ring! This would be the most perfect Mother's Day present, push present, birthday present...should I keep going ;) But seriously fwd Kerry's website to your man because everything on there is lust worthy and it's all personalized. I love this coordinate bracelet - I want one with our wedding location! Xx

Budget-Friendly Olive Joggers

Hope you all had a very happy Easter weekend! Ours seemed to fly by, and I can't believe it's Monday again...back to the grind! I was so bad with my eating this weekend, going to be paying for it today during my workout (look out for today's #BBG workout on our SnapChat later this morning).

I love joggers + heeled sandals for spring/summer. I actually wore this look for a trip to the children's aquarium (with these sneakers), then threw on these sandals (on sale now!) for dinner. These joggers are so comfortable, I love the material, and best of all only $44! I think they run on the small side, and I'm wearing a medium for a looser look (I hate when joggers are tight in the back). This is a perfect look for date night, girls night out, or happy hour with friends. Happy Monday! xx

Happy Fri-YAY ladies! Thanks for all of your questions this week, we received so many that we're going to have to save some for next week, so if you don't see your question below, look out for it next Friday! As always, comment below or email us with your questions for next week! xx

1. Do you ladies have any gym bag suggestions? I'm looking for a bigger bag that will fit everything for work and my clothes/shoes for working out after.
Brooke: I recently purchased this backpack and am loving it for going to & from the gym and to run errands after, BUT it doesn't fit everything I need if I'm planning to shower/get ready after my workout (makeup, hairspray, clothes, shoes, etc), so I just got this bag (literally yesterday), and can't tell you how amazing it is (even though I haven't used it yet haha). It's enormous without looking ridiculous, and comes with multiple pouches on the inside to put things like makeup/hair products (or whatever you'd need) in. I'm already obsessed! It's lightweight which is great since I'll be hauling heavy items, and I love the look - I'll be sure to keep you posted on how it works!
Meggan: I usually just throw everything in my diaper bag or stroller which is so unorganized! I just got this backpack and can't wait to use it!

2. Have you seen any cute oxfords or loafers lately? Been on the hunt for a classic style, nothing too trendy.
Here are our three favorites from most expensive - least expensive: 1, 2, 3. SO cute!

3. How do you guys keep track of all the sales that are going on?
A few different ways: subscribe to emails, other bloggers we follow, and honestly just constantly checking our favorite sites every so often (aka every day lol).

4. What would you recommend to wear to church for a baptism?
For church functions, it's always best to be conservative ;). We love this dress (saw it in store, and it's SO cute) and this jumpsuit

5. I'm going to NY for the first time but will only be in the city for 1.5 days - what are your must-see tourist spots (we will have our 5yo with us)? I would also love some budget friendly outfit ideas!
You can see all of my favorite NYC 'must see' spots from in this post (question #12). You're going to be doing a lot of walking, so sneakers are a must (love these), shorts, crops, or leggings depending on the weather, and layering is key with a tank, button down, and jacket. If the weather is warm enough a dress (how cute is this one for $25?!) with sneakers or sandals would be perfect! If you're wanting to get a bit dressier, I love this dress with these sandals.

6. Do you have any gift ideas for friends (guys & girls) graduating college?
For guys we would say something small like a bottle of their favorite liquor or something personalized like a money clip. For girls we love these candles, an initial necklace, a framed picture of the two of you (love these frames), a tote filled with goodies for their future job (notebooks, planner, pens, etc), and a bottle of their favorite wine!

7. Favorite cute/trendy spring sandals & wedges that are affordable?
There's SO many we love right now - shoes are our weakness ;) Our favorites under $50: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. And our favorites under $100: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

8. Meggan, we just found out we're having a boy! Where do you usually shop for Camden and what are your favorite items for him?
Yay congrats! I usually shop for him at ZaraH&M (the best basics!), Gap (they always have sales, never pay full price!), Old Navy and Target. I linked some of my must-have products on this post and this postThis bath seat is one of my favorites - he loves bath time and it was a major hit!

9. What apps do you use to edit your photos on Instagram? Any tips on photo editing?
We use VSCOCAM to edit our photos. Make sure you have a clear, well lit photo to begin with and find your favorite filter. Keep it consistent, try not to use more than 2-3 different filters to keep your feed uniform!

10. Meggan, where did you work before Trunk Club (in college/internships/post-graduation)?
Right after college I moved to the city and nannied for about a year then I started working at a company called Mindshare. That's when I realized I 100% did not want to be working a 9-5 corporate job!

11. I'm graduating from college in May and need some ideas for a casual & affordable dress, have you seen any lately?
We love this (such a pretty color!), this off-the-shoulder, this mini, this lace one, and this sleeveless one.

12. I have a black tie wedding to attend, but I feel like it's such a fine line - I don't want to be over OR underdressed, please help!
Better to be overdressed than underdressed at a black tie wedding in our opinion, but we definitely understand your concern! Check out Rent the Runway - we think this is such a great option for black tie events, since you will probably never (or hardly ever) wear this dress again, and you can wear a high-end designer for less than you'd be purchasing a lower-end designer dress for. Here are a few options we think fit into that "safe" (but amazing) category: one, two, three (our favveeee).

13. Meggan, I love your tattoo and am thinking about getting one in the same spot. Do you love yours? I'm afraid I'll regret the placement. Any plans for others?
I honestly don't love it, but I don't hate it either. I got it after one too many cocktails with my friends one night lol oops! ;) I do like the simplicity of it and half the time I forget it's even there! I like the placement though and don't have any "plans" for others!

Off The Shoulder

top (more sizes here) | jeans | heels | hat

I'm loving off-the-shoulder tops and dresses for spring - it's such a fun, flirty look! I got this romper for Cabo (pic) and practically lived in it all vacay. My top sold out but it looks like it's restocked in a couple sizes. This one is a great alternative - love the frayed hem line. I'm wanting to add a few more pieces to my closet. Seriously loving this dress (under $80) and this red top - really hope it comes back in my size!

hoodie (wearing a M) | tank (wearing a M) | leggings (wearing XS) | sneakers | bag
I've pretty much been living in this outfit lately (wearing it to and from the gym, and to run errands after). These running tights are probably my all-time favorite - I've never found a better fitting pair of leggings for runs, and the high waist sucks everything in (yes please!). I recently picked up this hoodie & gym bag and have been wearing both nonstop. I think I need to get the hoodie in the two other's seriously the best!
Speaking of the gym, I can't wait to try out these headphones for my workout today #allmarbleeverything c/o
I went back and forth on buying this jacket (also wearing it here on instagram) 100 times last spring, and finally decided to bite the bullet. I was a little hesitant since I feel like there are so many great leather jackets at a lower price point (like this one), but honestly I'm so happy I did! It's so buttery soft, and the back is neoprene making it amazing for warmer months. I also love the cropped fit & sleeves. It's definitely worth the $$ if you're looking for a nice leather jacket. I'm wearing an XS.
 tee (wearing size 1) | bag | jeans | necklace | bracelet c/o | lipstick: russian red c/o
I don't wear red lipstick often but thought it was a fun pop of color with the all white. This tee is one of my favorites. It is soft and doesn't loose it's shape when you wash it - definitely recommend investing in it!
jacket (wearing S) | dress (wearing size 4) | phone case c/o | lipstick: nile nude c/o
We've had a couple nice days in Chicago and I take full advantage and wear dresses. This slip dress will be on repeat this spring/summer. Love that you can dress it down with sneakers or throw on some heels for dinner!

Minimalist Style

On days where I feel like I have nothing to wear, I end up going for a minimalist look. It's simple, and looks effortlessly cool. My go-to's are black denim (or light denim in the summer), a plain tee, and sneakers or simple sandals. I'm loving all of these minimalistic looks - great inspo!
