Taking Care of Your Hair Color

To be honest, we struggle with making it to the salon every 2-3 months. We both go maybe once or twice a year. We both have really thick hair, and it can take up to four hours (yes, four!!!) to get it cut and colored. That is a big chunk of our day (especially with kids), so it can be hard to commit to! With that being said, we have to give our hair a little extra TLC and be careful what we use on it.

We were both so excited to try dpHue products. They are made with ingredients we can actually pronounce and don't do more damage than good! We've heard such great things about all things dpHue, and after using them for a couple weeks now, we are on board!
I was so excited to try this color boosting gloss since I haven't got my hair highlighted since June and it was starting to feel a little dull. The first time I used the conditioner, I left it in for about 5-10 minutes and the second time for 15 minutes. I definitely noticed a difference in the color - it looked more vibrant and brought it back to life! P.S if you Dallas ladies have any hair salon recommendations please let me know :) I desperately need a hair cut!
A couple other dpHue products I tried are this apple cider vinegar hair rinse, this aragan oil therapy, and this apple cider vinegar leave-in hair therapy. My favorite is definitely the hair rinse. I substituted it for shampoo (was kind of skeptical at first!) and it seriously worked great. I could feel all the build up being rinsed out!
Ever since I started doing balayage highlights, I have to be really careful about brassiness. I asked for suggestions a while ago on snapchat, and so many of you recommended purple shampoo. I've tried a few different brands, and hands down this dpHue wins for best purple shampoo! The biggest difference I've noticed is that it smells SO good & it lathers really well (something the others I tried were missing). I also use the conditioner + love it as well. It has everything I want in a conditioner, plus the purple toning aspect (to keep my ends from turning brassy).
I've always heard apple cider vinegar is SO good for hair, but was never quite sure how to use it/what to mix it with. So when I saw this apple cider vinegar hair rinse, I was excited to try it and OMG - it makes your hair feel so silky & healthy. I've been using it twice/week, and am hooked! I also picked up this leave-in hair therapy and love it for when I get out of the shower.
I use this oil while my hair is damp (mid sections to the end, not on my roots) & on the ends after I get done curling it.

  2. Although it is about the hair care product, you look so fashionable. Both the grey sweater and the cool shoulder sweater dress are amazing for this season.
