Happy Friday ladies! Sorry it took us so long to get this post up - we are both on different time zones and it's still morning where we are ;)! If you don't see your question it will for sure be up next week. We had so many but couldn't finish them all today...the pool is calling our name ;)

1. What are your absolute favorite holy grail skincare items? Cleansers, toners, serum, face oil, moisturizers?
Meggan: I can't live without a cleansing balm. I've used a few (Clinique, Elemis & Colleen Rothschild) and like them all. They really dissolve all your makeup off and my face feels so fresh after using. A few other products are this face wash, this facial oil, this hydrating cream, this overnight cream, this body oil, this anti-aging serum, and these energizing eye patches. Whew that seems like a lot!
Brooke: This Origins oil (removes makeup), this Tula cleanser, this overnight cream, this day and night cream, and this eye cream. Also, this lip balm is life. I need a few tins on hand at all times - my lips get sooooo chapped, and this is the only thing that keeps them looking their best!

2. Do you have any great open back shirts you're loving? I love the trend but have trouble finding them!
This one would be super cute for date night, this floral blouse is pretty, love this bell sleeve top (under $25), and this (not so basic) basic tee.

3. Meggan - what made you pick Cabo as your wedding location? I just got engaged and thinking about doing a destination wedding!
We decided on a destination wedding because our family/friends live all over and would have to travel no matter where it was. So we thought might as well travel somewhere fun! To be honest, there wasn't a lot of thought behind it. We picked Cabo because we both love it and it's easy for our guests to travel to.

4. I'm moving into an apartment downtown Chicago and love how both of you decorate. Any affordable ideas for decorations/where to buy (wall decor, lamps, etc)?
Meggan: For affordable decor I always check Hobby Lobby, Home Goods, and Target - they all have a huge selection and always have amazing sales. I love this floor lamp from Target (I have it in Cam's room), this round wall mirror, and this wood tray. I'm also obsessed with West Elm but I only buy things from there when they have sales (which is all the time).
Brooke: Ikea, Overstock, Wayfair, West Elm, and CB2 are my go-to's for affordable pieces. Also this link will take you to my favorite way to search for vintage rugs (I get asked about mine a lot, and finally found the proper link)!

5. What ingredients do you put in your smoothies?
Brooke: Usually just a banana, protein powder, almond butter, chia seeds and almond milk. But I recently used the collagen greens from Vital Proteins with almond milk, banana, mango, strawberries, blueberries, and spinach and it was great!
Meggan: I do half a banana, spinach and/or kale, 1 cup of fruit (usually blueberries or strawberries), protein powder, water or almond milk, and a flax/chia seed blend.

6. My least favorite part about working out is how many times I have to wash my hair throughout the week! What dry shampoos do you girls find works best for you?
Brooke: Agreed - literally the worst haha! My favorite 3 favorite dry shampoos are the Dove and Aveda ones Meggan linked below and this one from DryBar - love that they have one for brunettes! Can't go wrong with any of these!
Meggan: I know the struggle - I only try to wash my hair 2-3 times a week. I love this one by Aveda and this one by Dove (under $5!).

7. Do you have any favorite summer maxi or midi dresses out there? I'm looking for something under $100 that's light and fun and can be worn casually.
This one is SO cute - love the front tie and print. A few others are this wrap dress, this tank dress, and this maxi dress.

8. What hair products do you use (shampoo, conditioner, heat protectant, hair mask, etc)?
Brooke: I'm always switching it up - but I love this purple shampoo & conditioner, this heat protectant, and this surf spray! I just picked up this mask, but I haven't tried it yet (I've heard it's amazing).
Meggan: I rotate between this purple shampoo and this hydrating shampoo and will use this apple cider vinegar cleanse once or twice a week. This conditioner is a must for me - it's seriously the only conditioner that makes my hair soft/easy to comb through. I have a lot of leave in products I like but a few all time favorites are this Kenra blow-dry spray, Bumble and bumble invisible oil primer, and Moroccan hair oil. I also use this Kenra heat protecting spray and hairspray. We linked our favorite dry shampoos in question 6!

9. I'm looking for some closed toe slides for the summer. I would love a pair in black and another in blush, but can't seem to find any that I really like. Suggestions?
Absolutely love these in black and this pair & in blush we love these (also come in black)!

10. Do you have any dress suggestions for a spring wedding?
This one is gorgeous, obsessed with this maxi (under $100), love this off-the-shoulder, and this pretty lace one!

11. My engagement pictures are scheduled this April in DC (backdrop of cherry blossoms I'm hoping) and would love some outfit ideas!
Love this dress, this one, and this one! Also love jeans and this top (I just got it in a x-small and love it!).

12. I'm going to Europe for 10 days this summer - Paris, Luxembourg City and two smaller towns in Germany and Amsterdam and am looking for some outfit ideas. Have either of you been? We are going to be doing a lot of walking and sight seeing, so I want to be comfortable but stylish. Also, would love ideas for a good crossbody bag that is big enough for the necessities but also secure.
We have never been but it's on our list! We would just do jeans or leggings, tees, a cute camo jacket, a baseball cap and comfy sneakers (these are our favorite!). You could also do maxi dresses if it's hot outside. This bag would be a great crossbody option - we're obsessed with the blush!

13. Any sexy one piece ideas?
This sides on this one is great, this one is simple + sexy (love the deep v), and love this lace-up one.

14. I just landed my dream job in Real Estate and was wondering if you have any favorite office/professional outfits?
Congrats - that is so exciting! We always see the cutest office-wear at Ann Taylor. This top is pretty and can be worn with so much, these pants are great (Meggan has them), love this jacket, and this skirt is great + versatile. You should also check Banana Republic and Loft.

15. I was wondering if you had any recommendations for a cute maternity dress for my baby shower. I've been looking online and haven't found anything I love. Looking for something trendy and fresh.
You could do something classic/simple like this off the shoulder (white is pretty with a pop of color for your shoes!), this floral one is fun, and this maxi would be cute too!

16. I'm doing a girls trip/ski in Breckenridge next weekend. Any outfit ideas for apres ski and just in general?
Casual, comfy and cute! Love this top, this sweater, and this dress for a drink/dinner - throw it on with a denim or moto jacket, sneakers or heels and it would be so cute! Have fun!

17. Can you guys link our outfits from the perfume post on Wednesday?
Meggan: I was wearing this MK sweater, these jeans, and these nude heels.
Brooke: This is the dress I was wearing - honestly obsessed! It's so so comfy, and flattering! I've worn it with sneakers and heels, perfect for summer! Here's the jacket - buttery soft and love the color for spring!

Again, we'll be adding the questions we missed for next week! Please leave your questions for next week below or shoot us an email at brookeandmeggan@somewherelately.com with #coffeetalk in the subject. XO

Spring Accessories + Family Time

Happy Thursday, ladies! Checking in from paradise today - Meggan is in Cabo and Brooke is in Hawaii. We're loving the weather, sunshine, and beachin' it with umbrella drinks ;). Hope you're all having a great week!
Last weekend, we finally got a glimpse of spring in New York and it was amazing (although I'm pretty sure it's back to freezing right now). I took Sophia to the flower market to pick out some blooms for my mother-in-law, and she insisted on holding them until they became "too heavy," lol, and asked me to put them in my bag. Now that I have two girls, it's really important for me to have one-on-one time with Sophia (since I'm with Avery while S is at school). I can't believe how quickly she is growing (such a cliché I know, but it's true), and I swear she has the biggest heart which makes me so happy!
I pretty much live in hats all spring & summer because it keeps the sun off my face. I've had this one for a while, but just spotted this one from Sole Society that looks identical and is under $40! I can't tell you how long I've been searching for a necklace like this one, and was so excited when I saw it online. Honestly, I've looked for over a year after seeing a similar one on another blogger - I just loooove the delicate collar look!
These strappy sandals are so comfortable with the low, block heel and the suede! The color is perfect, and they will go with so many different outfits + they're under $100.

I'm in Cabo for the week with my two sister-in-laws, mother-in-law, Camden, and my nieces and nephew! We love spending time together as a family and the kids are always so happy to be around each other. Before heading out to dinner the other night, I taught the girls how to make guacamole and fresh pico! We went to the market across from our hotel and got fresh avocados, limes, cilantro, onion and tomatoes. It seemed fitting since it's our favorite food (we've had it everyday for lunch, dinner and snacking lol).
These are my nieces but people that don't know us always ask if they are my kids. They could definitely pass as Cam's sisters, don't ya think!?
I packed along a few accessories from Sole Society. I'm obsessed with these sandals because they have a low heel and are so comfy. We have been doing a lot of walking (and chasing the kids) so they have been perfect! Plus, they go with everything!

Spring Date Nights

We've talked about our date nights and how important they are in our relationships, and once spring rolls around, we feel like they get even better because we can spend more time outside enjoying the perfect weather! We love to grab drinks on a patio or have dinner on a rooftop, and just spend quality time with our guys (let us know if you'd like our favorite spring date night locations in New York & Dallas!). It's also the one night of the week we actually dress up and put on a full face of makeup and our favorite scent. Every season, we purchase a new fragrance or two, and we've both just added Michael Kors' Sexy Blossom to our collection for spring. The scent is flirty and romantic with its floral, woody musk - perfect for date night!
My hubs is super picky when it comes to perfume (he always complains they hurt his throat lol), but he actually loves this one - lucky for him because I was going to wear it anyway ;).
This is the perfect scent for welcoming spring - it's just the right balance of sweet and sexy! I thought I would only be wearing this for date nights but it's become my signature scent. I love that it lasts all day and I don't have to worry about reapplying. Kyle also loves the smell and he actually complimented it without knowing I got a new one. Small victories ;)
It’s always fun getting dressed up for date night – especially after being in comfy clothes most of the week (#momlife). I just got this MK sweater and loving it – the perfect piece to transition into spring. The color is so pretty and I’m obsessed with the cold-shoulder details.
We're so excited to be giving away three 30mL bottles! All you need to do to enter is comment below, and let us know why you'd love a new spring fragrance. Good luck! xx

Dress Code

Happy Tuesday everyone! We are both on vacay but wanted to share a couple dresses we both picked up at Express. We packed them along for our trips!
You can't go into summer without the perfect white dress. I immediately snatched this one up when I saw it on the rack. I love the pleats and flowy fabric. So romantic for the warmer months!
dress (size xs) | hat | sunglasses | shoes (sold out, similar here & here) | pave ring
We made it to Maui last night & I'm so excited to be here! My luggage didn't make it onto our connecting flight, but thankfully we ventured back to the airport and it had arrived on another plane - phew! I had nothing in my carry-on lol, lesson learned! I am in love with this dress (wearing xs) from Express - I love the front slits and the ruffle cold shoulder detail. I wore it with slides this morning for breakfast and a walk on the beach, but I would also throw it on with a pair of sneakers for a laid-back look, or strappy sandals for date night. Once spring & summer roll around, my dress code is casual, comfy dresses that can easily be taken from day to night. I also ordered this dress in red & this one (my fav!) - can't wait until the weather is warm in NY!
