Good morning, ladies! Hope you had a great Halloween weekend – ours was full of Halloween parties, trick-or-treating, and spending time with my in-laws who are in town. Yesterday was the first real taste of cold weather (like 45 degrees cold…brrr!) this season, and it made me realize I am so not ready for winter! Luckily, we have a few more weeks of fall to hold on to, and I’m going to soak it all up.
I had to pull out a few new pieces I picked up at Nordstrom recently to keep warm when the temps dropped over the weekend. I have been looking for a new pair of denim that I can wear while pregnant (I’m right at the point of being able to wear my regular jeans for a few more weeks before I’m going to have to hit up the maternity department), and luckily the Nordstrom personal shopper who was helping me out had just had a baby herself, and suggested I try Paige (I’ve never tried it before) because of the great fit, and stretch in the denim. O-M-G….these jeans seriously feel like leggings or sweatpants, but still look like true denim jeans. I’m obsessed – they are so comfortable, and are definitely going to be worn until I can no longer squeeze into them during my pregnancy. I’ve been wanting a super fluffy sweater, and when I spotted this one the other day, I had to snag it – I love the mix of the chunky knit + the fluff. It runs on the more fitted side, but I wanted that oversized feel, and ended up with an XL (keep in mind I have a 22 week baby bump), so definitely size up if you want a boyfriend fit. I’m so glad I splurged on these boots. They are comfortable, cool, and I know they will last a long time (my three ‘must haves’ if I’m splurging on anything). If you love the look but don’t want to spend a lot, Nordstrom has a great selection of over the knee boots for every budget.
May your coffee be strong and your Monday be short! xx
