Hydrating DIY Hair Mask

What you need:

1 Avocado (has tons of nutrients that helps hair growth and nourishment)
1 Egg (protein!)
3 TBS Coconut oil (maintains shine and softness – can substitute olive oil. I use this for EVERYTHING!! Lotion, cleanser, hair, this works miracles ladies!)
1 TBS Honey (locks in moisture and repairs split ends)
What to do:
Mix all ingredients in bowl until smooth. Massage into dry hair (it felt really strange smearing food in my hair at first) starting at the ends. Let it sit for 15 minutes and rinse and wash with shampoo – use lukewarm water.

I was bummed when my hair didn’t feel instantly smooth but once I started drying I could really see the results. It feels super soft and shiny!! Make sure you puree the ingredients as good as you can…I found a couple avocado chunks in my hair while drying, ha! This winter has been taking a toll on my hair (and skin – see our winter skin care routines here) so I’ve been trying to think of new ways to keep it moisturized. Do you have any successful remedies?
