From The Fitting Room
One of the best things (not really the best, but it feels soooo good) about having is a baby that you can finally get back to trying on + buying regular clothes again! Towards the end of my pregnancy, I was so. over. it. I was two days overdue, and I began to wonder if I was ever going to not be pregnant HA! I think everyone starts to feel that way as they approach their due date…your body starts to feel not like itself anymore – you’re achey, tired, waddling, just not fun. I honestly felt like an elderly woman – I had to walk so slow, and it was such a chore to even get myself out of bed (insert image of a turtle on its back). But, I promise it’s alllll worth it of course! Anyway, I’m really needing some spring/summer clothes, so I hit up a few of my favorite stores last weekend to see what I could find.
I loooved this dress, the embroidery is so pretty. I kind of regret not buying it, especially after seeing it again right now. I think I may have to go back and scoop it up for Mother’s Day brunch. I’m wearing an XS.
These ivory crocheted shorts were so so cute, but a bit sheer – they would be the perfect shorts to wear to the pool or beach this summer (or with nude undies for a day out). I loved the length and the elastic waistband – I’m wearing a medium – could have gone with a small as well, but I never like shorts to be too tight – and I’ve got a booty ;). The colors in this top are great – super pretty, and the slit sleeve is a great detail.
You may have seen this on instagram, but yes…I was obsessssed with this fringe poncho. I normally don’t spend over $100 on tops, but I had to have this! It is seriously stunning, and can be worn so many different ways (with jeans, cutoffs, over a bikini), so I couldn’t resist. I’m wearing an XS. I also bought these jeans – they are the perfect flares and SO comfortable. I normally wear a size 26, but actually sized down to a 25 in these. They are so flattering, and the high waist is perfect for this post-baby bod! I’ll be posting this full look next week, so stay tuned!
Obsessed with this blouse with the crocheted shorts again. Anthro has sooo many amazing tops right now, I pretty much want to buy all of them. This one is made of the most amazing material and would be so flattering (I didn’t try it on, but want to go back for it). This is an online exclusive that I may have to splurge for, and how beautiful is this little lace number?! Uhg, so good.
Love this clutch for summer – it goes with everything! They also have a great tote version
I’m always on the search for great button downs, and I love the stripes and short sleeves on this one. It can be worn a lot of different ways – buttoned, unbuttoned with a tank under, the half tuck, or tied up like I did below making it a bit more feminine. I had to buy it.
These jeans are a closet staple – they are super comfortable, and a great price. I would say they run a tiny bit small, I’m wearing a 26 and they were a bit tight, but thinking a 27 would be too big. I probably just need to hit the treadmill a few more times ;).
I loved this look. This is actually a top and pants, but I decided to try them on together – love how it looks like a jumpsuit. The joggers are seriously comfortable (wearing a small in both the pants and top), and I love that you can buy these pieces and have so many different looks since they are separates. I saw these pants as I was leaving, and I’m definitely going back for them – such a great price, and they look so comfortable.
I took a risk and didn’t actually try either of these pieces on until I got home (Avery was starting to get super fussy, so we had to head home), but ended up keeping both. Love the classic Adidas top (and how cool is this one), and finally got my hands on a pair of Zella pants – they are ah-maz-ing, same style solid here. They are ultra flattering, really comfortable, and a great price point for quality workout gear – I’m wearing an XS. I’m definitely going to be adding more to my workout wardrobe.
Have a great day babes! xx
