Our Miami Vacation (Photo Overload!)
We had such an amazing trip to Miami a few weeks ago, and I’m finally getting around to sharing the photos from my camera roll!
a little champagne to kick off the trip 😉
We had planned to stay at the Fountainebleau for the week, but there was a huge hip hop festival over Memorial Day weekend which fell in the middle of our trip…apparently South Beach gets cray cray that weekend, so we quickly cancelled that reservation upon our arrival, and headed north to Sunny Isles and went to Acqualina. Traveling with 5 is never easy, and my hubs got super sneaky and ended up booking us a pretty amazing suite for the trip. It was a great size, and had a full kitchen with full-sized appliances (fridge, dishwasher, oven, stove, and microwave) which was SO nice to have when traveling with kids. After all of the anxiety with finding out it was “hip hop weekend,” having to cancel our existing reservation, and find another place to stay within hours, it was really nice to just sit down and relax (and know our family would be safe!). The hotel is super kid-friendly…they set up two full-sized cribs in our room with nice bedding, and they deliver baby wash, sunscreen, and lotion daily. Since we had a full kitchen, we were able to hit up the grocery store to buy some of Sophia’s favorite things (chicken nuggets, hellloooo!) for meals and snacks throughout the day – which was also a great way to save some money. Here’s a look at our room – highly recommend it if you’re planning a trip to Miami!
Sophia was excited about her “new high chair!” 😉
master bedroom (the mess begins .5 seconds after walking in!)
love these two
I posted this suit on instagram – it’s so comfortable, and flattering for new mamas without being boring.
I picked up these pants from H&M before our trip (sorry, I can’t find them online). H&M is still one of my favorite stores – I can always find great pieces without breaking the bank.
We had a few great dinners out – loved this restaurant, Basil Park
Coffee + time with my babe on the balcony every morning (really missing this!).
 Sophia’s swimsuit (on sale!)
I definitely indulged…a LOT. Their breakfast was ahhhhmazing – best waffles I’ve ever had with fresh berries and homemade whipped cream #yummmmmm!
fresh watermelon juice
I packed 5 pairs of sunglasses, but wore these every single day – they are so much lighter than my Ray-Bans which is great in heat/humidity so they aren’t constantly sliding down your face – most annoying thing ever!
I may or may not have bought a giant cone of gelato every single day…
A little treat from the hotel…definitely had to pop a few bottles on our balcony after a long day with the babes 😉
Finally got to meet one of my blogger besties, Andy (who’s currently on the most amazing babymoon) & her husband, in real-life for a fun a dinner in Bal Harbour. If your are making a trip to the area, you HAVE to visit The Shops at Bal Harbour – seriously the most beautiful outdoor mall.
Beautiful view of the Bahamas on our way home. Already wishing we could go back!
