Bringing you a few of my new beauty favorites…I feel like I tried SO many new products this past month, and these are the ones that made the cut! Please let us know if you have any beauty products we must try, or if there’s a product you’re interested in having us review in the comments! xx
LM Baked Blush Bronze in ‘Ritual’ – My mom sent me this bronzer and I’m obsessed. First of all, the design is so cool, but I loooove the color it creates. I’ve been using it as an overall bronzer, and it really illuminates your face. I’ve been using it day & night – and just use a little less during the day. It has amazing reviews, and I have to agree…a great bronzer!
It Cosmetics BYE BYE UNDER EYE – I have been using this concealer for a week now, and LOVE it. To be honest, at first I thought it was too thick, but I quickly realized I was applying it wrong. With this concealer (unlike the one I was used to using), a little goes a loooooong way! I literally use about 1/4 of the size of a pea for my entire face, and I’m super picky about my concealer (it has to actually conceal!). To apply, I’ve found it’s best to rub it between two fingers to warm it up a bit, then dab under my eye, and anywhere else I may need (I use it around my nose and on any blemishes), and blend using my damp beauty blender. This is going to last for-ev-er, and it’s definitely my new favorite concealer. I use the lightest shade because it brightens your face, especially the under-eye area, giving it a highlighted look.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Foundation – I still love my Laura Mercier foundation (I use bamboo beige), but have been wearing this new foundation from MAKE UP FOR EVER during the day – it has great coverage, but it’s a bit lighter (in weight, not color) than the LM which I feel is better for my skin during the daytime in winter (when makeup is more noticeable on the skin). I wear the shade Y235 and feel like it’s a great mid-tone beige.
MAC ‘Gingerly’ Blush – This isn’t a brand new product, but it’s pretty new in my makeup case, and I had to include it because I’ve been reaching for it over all of my other blushes daily. It’s the prettiest peachy pink color, has great pigment, and isn’t too over-the-top for winter. I really feel like this is the perfect year-round blush color, it’s definitely my favorite blush to date!
KENRA Blow-Dry Spray – As you know, I looove Kenra products (I mentioned previously their hairspray is my all-time fave), and I tried this spray for the first time this week, and am hooked! All of Kenra’s products smell amazing, and this product leaves your hair feeling so silky after a blow-dry (mine typically feels dry and frizzy). Never going to be able to live without this! I also tried the dry shampoo for the first time recently, and it’s another staple for me now. I really don’t think you can go wrong with any Kenra product, they are on the pricey side…but it’s definitely worth it – I can tell such a difference in my hair.
TULA Purifying Face Cleanser & Hydrating Day and Night Cream – I am extremely careful and skeptical when it comes to skincare. I don’t really like to try new products because my skin is so sensitive, but after doing a bit of research on TULA, I decided it was worth a try. It is unlike anything I’ve tried – it uses probiotic technology to balance out your skin, and it works! I’ve added it to my daily skincare routine, and I swear to you my skin has never looked better. I was nervous because the cleanser has a strong smell (it’s amazing – smells so fresh), I thought for sure my face would break out, but it didn’t. It has reduced my redness, and has performed miracles in my dry skin! The hydrating cream is probably my favorite cream of all time (I’d say it beats my La Mer hands-down). I plan to keep my medicine cabinet fully stocked with TULA products from here on out, I really can’t recommend it enough!
Do you have any new beauty favorites I need to try? Please let me know, I love recommendations! xx
