It’s hard to believe Christmas is less than two weeks away! With it being so close we each want to share some holiday traditions we’ve started with our friends and family.
The Christmas lights in Dallas are insane – people go ALL out on their homes and even the shopping centers get deck the halls! Kyle and I cozied up last night (it was chilly!) and drove around looking at lights. We also stopped at Highland Park Village to pick up some gifts and to see the lights. Every single tree and bush are wrapped in lights – it is gorgeous! We are bringing Camden and my parents back for round two this weekend. They will love it! After looking at lights we came home and had our first fire of the season.
I love the distressed look on this sweater. I’m sure I will be over-wearing it this winter since it’s so soft and cozy! It looks cute dressed down with leggings and sneakers too!
I’ve mentioned this before but Kyle has a hard time finding clothes that fit right since he’s 6’5″ but always hits gold at Express! I picked out this cardigan for him in the store the other day. I love the fleece lining on the neck (so does he) and the option to zip it instead of buttoning.
One new holiday tradition I have is getting together with girlfriends for a holiday dinner party (at a restaurant so nobody has to do all the work lol). I mentioned in #coffeetalk last week that we are finally feeling settled after 3 years in New York, and have made some good friends – it takes a while! Now that I have good girlfriends, it’s fun to start making memories…especially during the holidays. I wore this look to our dinner last week – I love all black for a night out, and this sweater from Express is so cozy (pefect for the freezing cold weather we’ve been having).
I spotted these booties in store, and couldn’t believe the price tag ($35)! They are true to size and comfortable – yes please! I have a hard time finding booties that are flattering on me, but I swear these are my new favorites. They look designer!
I also threw this choker in my bag – can’t have too many ;). I love how wide it is.
Obviously Meggan and I love this beanie – it’s so fun, the faux fur pom is so cute! While I was in the store, I also picked up a few things for my hubs – this henley (is there anything better than a guy in a henley?!), this cableknit sweater, and these jeans – he has these in a light wash, and I’m obsessed with this gray color! Just a few more gift ideas for the guy in your life ;).
