Happy Monday ladies! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family & friends! Ours was so much fun – my in-laws were in town for the week and we had the best time with them! THANKFUL to have amazing in-laws that are fun to be with, I definitely don’t take that for granted ;).
One question we get asked a lot is, “What pieces should I invest in if I’m trying to build a wardrobe?” Our answer is always – a nice coat or jacket, a bag, and shoes. The rest can be mixed and matched with trendy and budget-friendly options, but these are three key pieces you can have in your closet for years. I’ve said before – since I live in a place where winters are freezing, I have no problem investing in coats. If you live in a warmer climate, a great moto jacket is something I would recommend investing in because it will honestly last forever.
Burberry is a brand I’ve loved for classic coats for so long – I’ve had this coat for over 7 years (I got it when I graduated college), and I still love it! The black and burgundy colors in this coat are currently 40% off – this is definitely the time to buy one if you’ve been considering it, that’s a crazy sale for a designer coat (I’m wearing a size 2)! The camel color was on sale, but it just sold out – uhg! This one is another classic (see it in this post), and I also love this one – I bought it for my mom for Mother’s Day this year and she wears it alllll the time!
I added this faux fur scarf (under $50!) over my coat, and loved the look – it looked like it was a part of the collar (and a completely different coat!). I also bought the scarf in the tan fur…it would make a great gift!
This bag is sold out, but I saw this version at Nordstrom and fell in love – it’s so cute! I love the velvet!
