Good morning! It’s been a while since the last home update, and we’ve made a lot of progress since this post so bringing it all to you today! First up…lighting.

This urchin flush mount is in our master. We had to remove the existing pendant when our bed was delivered because they were colliding. We weren’t sure what to do here (we were thinking a chandelier), but ended up deciding on this flush mount and I love it. We also did the same light in brass in the girl’s bedroom. This is by Kelly Wearstler, but this one is very similar and comes in tons of color options!

Chandelier in family room – I wasn’t sure about this one but I really love it now that it’s installed (from Ralph Lauren). We needed something really big, but didn’t want anything too crazy because we have a lot of lighting going on in this area (this is attached to the kitchen and breakfast nook). This one has the same look with the brass & Edison bulbs – love! Paint in this room is Balboa Mist by Benjamin Moore.

We finally got our counter stools and they’re super comfortable. I can’t remember who makes these (if you want to know I can find out, just let me know). I was nervous about the color at first, but the fabric is crypton and easy to clean – Louie jumped on the side with a muddy paw and it came right out with hot water + a towel. I really loved these stools, but with kids we decided to go for an option with a back.

Guest bath progress – the floor is done, and the sink was just installed. Need to order a faucet! Tile is from TileBar and the sink is from RH. We are going to be doing the girls’ bathroom as well because the toilet was leaking and ruined the wood floor around it (the joys of home ownership lol). I ordered this vanity for their bathroom – it came quickly and looks great! Good price for an all wood, soft close vanity (the marble top and faucet are included!). Ready for the construction to be done!

We had our wallpaper installed upstairs, and got the juju hat up! The wallpaper is a grasscloth, and you can find an identical juju hat here (without the frame) – I found this one at a sample sale.

I know this is definitely not everyone’s taste, but this is probably one of my favorite pieces we’ve bought. I mentioned before that our last house was very traditional and we’re going to be making this house a bit more fun and unexpected (we sold our last house fully furnished so starting completely over). If you like the brass, but don’t want something quite this bold I loooove this console as well (just went on sale!). I found the pieces on top at a local home decor store and the moss in the long tray is real (it’s lasted 2 months so far!). We’re going to add a big pice of art above this…that I’m going to be DIY’ing (see below).

Our designer isn’t too excited about this I don’t think, he keeps sending me pictures of art he likes lol ;). But I want to at least try before we buy something! Large art is expensive…and most of it looks so simple to be honest. I’ll be using copying one of my favorite artists Cy Twombly for inspo! Anyone make their own art? Tips? I found this giant canvas at Michael’s.

The fireplace is almost finished! Just need to touch up the mantel/surround.

This bathroom is almost done, just waiting on some plumbing. I want to do a full before/after, but I’m afraid I didn’t take any ‘before’ pics! I’ll double-check to see if I have any. Otherwise it might just be the ‘after.’

New dresser in the master bedroom – this one is from Gabby, and this is a very similar option I love as well! One of our readers sent that 2nd option and said she has it & loves it!

Our bedroom drapes were hung and chaise was delivered. Both of these pieces were custom, but you can find similar linen drapes here and this chaise is identical!

One of my favorite places in the house is this little breakfast nook. We kept it simple with a bench and two hide stools (similar here).
