My Mom’s Go-To Smoothie Recipe

I’ve been at my parents for a week now and my mom has been making smoothies for us every AM. The first thing Cam says when he wakes up is “SMOOOVIE PWEASE!”. Guess I need to step my game up when we get back to Dallas ;) My mom has always been a pretty health conscious but after she was diagnosed with breast cancer she really researched and wanted to learn more about what she’s putting in her body. She’s always up to date with the latest health trends (she’s currently sipping on mushroom coffee) and finding new ways to better herself. I need to take a page or two out of her book! Anyway, here’s the smoothie recipe she’s been making me all week – it’s such a great way to start your day!

Large handful of spinach (or whatever greens you prefer!)
1/2 banana
1/2 cup of almond milk
1/4 cup water
1 TBS almond butter
1 TSP brain octane oil
1 TBS chia seeds
1 scoop of protein powder

*For protein she rotates between Collagen Peptides, protein powder, and bone broth. I just ordered the brain octane oil so it’s waiting for me when I get home. Enjoy!
