If you’ve been following us for a while (or since the beginning), you know that I’ve always loved Mary Kay products – both skincare and makeup. I’ve loved their products for over 15 years – the makeup is seriously impressive (especially for the price-point), and nothing from their skincare or makeup line irritates my sensitive skin. Definitely a staple brand for me when it comes to beauty. Since it’s not sold at stores, I wanted to quickly give that little overview because I know buying products online can be stressful (especially if you were blessed with sensitive skin like me lol). I went backstage at the Nicole Miller show with Mary Kay at NYFW, and had such a great time – it was so fun to see all the makeup artists and models in their element!
I loved being able to share what it was like backstage on instastories! Bold brows were the focus at the Nicole Miller show this year, and I am all about a strong brow!
I had my eyebrows microbladed two years ago, and they’re pretty much fully faded at this point, so I’m back to filling them in on the daily. To prep for the show, I started my brow look with the Precision Brow Liner (in Brunette), and finished with the Volumizing Brow Tint (also in Brunette). The Volumizing Brow Tint is probably my new favorite brow product – it makes eyebrows look full and thick because of the microscopic fibers that cling to your natural brows – seriously so good! I touched them up again backstage before the show because we got caught in the rain on the way there…love a product that is easy to touch up on the go! If you have thicker brows, you would love the Volumizing Brow Tint by itself, but since mine are super sparse, I prefer to fill them in using the brow liner first.
To fill in my eyebrows, I use very small (and very light) strokes with the brow liner. They key here is to try to make your strokes look as much like real hair as possible…no heavy/harsh lines!
The Mary Kay products I used to get ready for the show – Mineral Cheek Color (in shade Golden Copper – loooove this for fall, it’s the perfect bronzy blush!), Bronzing Powder (in shade Light-Medium, the consistency and finish of this is amazing), Gel Semi-Matte Lipstick (in shade Bashful You – perfect pinky nude!), Precision Brow Liner (in Brunette), and Volumizing Brow Tint (in Brunette).
Thank you to Mary Kay for having me backstage & for partnering on this post! xx
