Fall is our favorite season to dress for because it’s the most versatile, and we love all the options – sweaters, jackets, bodysuits, dresses, coats, puffers…endless! Of course, there are so many staples we recommend for a fall wardrobe… however, today we’re sharing two that may not be as obvious as a moto jacket, but can really take your fall/winter dressing to the next level: a quality pair of tights & a turtleneck bodysuit. Read on to see why…
Anyone else loving this cold front in Dallas? It’s the perfect time to break out your tights! I personally prefer thigh-high over full panel which is what this pair is. They have a no slip lace top so you don’t have to worry about pulling them up 24/7. So amazing!
The reason I really love Wolford tights is because of the quality. They’re soft, smooth out your legs, and they’re durable (as long as you take care of them properly!). To keep mine in shape, I wash them in a mesh bag on delicate cycle and let them air dry!
I recently got this dress – I need something comfy to get me through these last weeks of pregnancy and something I can wear after for the holidays. It fits TTS and it’s so soft!
dress | tights | sunglasses | booties (they’re AllSaints – similar styles here & here)
If you haven’t noticed by now, I’m obsessed with turtlenecks! I wear them all fall & winter long. They’re perfect for wearing alone or layering, so I like to stock up. One issue – whenever I wear them with jeans, they bunch up when I tuck them. Enter: this Wolford bodysuit. I’ll be honest, when I saw the price tag, I put it down. Luckily, a sales associate at Bloomingdale’s saw me…ran right over, and told me I had to get it. She said, “Just Google it! You’ll see it’s worth the price!” I Googled, and read every review I could find online. The amazing reviews always get me ;). She said if I didn’t love it, I could return it, so I bought it. And I love it. And I want another one. Ha! The material is thick, but not too thick…just perfect, stretchy, and it sucks you in, but somehow is still so comfortable! Honestly, it’s the miracle bodysuit. I will be wearing this once/week minimum until April, which is how I always justify my investment pieces (aka price-per-wear). Even if I only wear it once a week until April (it will probably be more like 2-3 times/week), that’s $11/wear. I can handle that! When you’re investing in closet staples, this is how you should break it down. I also know that this will last me beyond this year, so it will be even less than that original $11. Okay, I’m going way too deep into this topic right now lol, but I just thought I would share with you how I decide what to invest in/splurge on. Throughout the years, I’ve realized I would much rather splurge on great basics that can be worn 100+ times (this bodysuit) than a pair of sparkly pumps that will maybe get worn twice/year (even though they’re stunning and I love them). Investing in the pieces that work for you & your style/lifestyle is the best way to build your wardrobe.
These jeans are a save & currently on sale for under $70! This is my exact pair/wash, and I went up one size. They’re too long for me, so I’m going to cut the bottom of them to a raw hem – let me know if I should turn that into a tutorial/how-to blog post! Yes? No?
I had a lot of questions about this coat on IG stories, and sadly it’s old (no longer sold), but this one is very similar, and has that same drapey/duster look.
bodysuit (wearing size small) | jeans (on sale! go up one size) | boots (40% off! also love this pair) | similar sunglasses (Céline sold in Bloomingdale’s stores) | similar jacket (mine is old)
…more of our favorites from Wolford
Thank you to Bloomingdale’s for partnering on this post!
