My Favorite Smoothie/Protein Shake Recipes

Whenever I share my protein shake on instastories, I get a lot of requests for the recipe. So I’m sharing my two favorites today! This book is also FULL of amazing recipes, I want to try them all! First up, my go-to green smoothie. This is the smoothie I make most days, it’s super clean and you can customize it any way you want! Lately, I’ve been replacing the banana with frozen cauliflower rice to cut the carbs, but I always love a frozen banana in my smoothies as well!

Green Smoothie:

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • Small handful of ice (about 3-4 cubes)
  • Protein Powder (I use vanilla from Sun Warrior)
  • 1 Tbs cacao
  • 2 Tbs chia seeds
  • 2 Tbs PB2 OR 1 Tbs nut butter
  • 1/2 frozen banana OR 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower rice (straight out of the bag, you cannot taste it!)
  • Two handfuls of spinach (about 2 cups, can do less if you prefer)
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • Blend until smooth, and enjoy!

Next up is the Dairy Queen Caramel Shake Dupe. This is not my recipe, I stole it on Beth’s instagram. But, this shake is seriously delicious, tastes just like a DQ Caramel Shake, and definitely feels like a treat! This shake does have a lot of carbs (perfect for regular macro day if you’re doing FWTFL), so if you’re trying to keep those low, consider this for a splurge/treat meal.

DQ Caramel Shake Dupe:

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 3-5 pitted dates. Soak in water for at least 20 minutes before adding to blender.
  • Small handful of ice
  • Vanilla protein powder
  • 2 Tbs PB2 or peanut butter (I’ll be honest, the real deal is better in this shake!)
  • Blend until smooth, and enjoy!

Do you have any favorite protein shake recipes? I’d love to hear as I’m always looking for new ideas!
