Back to School on a Budget

It’s hard to believe that summer is coming to an end and back-to-school is right around the corner. Cam will be heading back to pre-school and is super excited about meeting new friends. And I have to admit, I’m pretty excited too! This year, we continued our back-to-school shopping tradition and found tons of great steals at Walmart. It’s the perfect stop for back-to-school shopping because you find everything you need in one run.

I also love that they carry tons of fun and trendy kids clothes that don’t break the bank. It doesn’t always make sense to splurge on more expensive pieces for the little ones because they grow SO fast. Today, I wanted to share our favorite back-to-school finds.

First stop was the backpack section. I love this little backpack, which is not only super adorable but feels more expensive than it’s $10 price tag (also loved this fun camo version). The neutral color is perfect because he’ll be able to grow into it as years pass.

I was also super impressed with Walmart’s selection of boys clothing. If your kids’ schools require uniforms, you’ll find everything you need from collared tops and cotton shorts to twill pants (love this gray one). And if not, there’s also a great selection of hoodies and bottoms that they can wear in the classroom or at home on the weekends. I still can’t believe Cam’s short sleeved hoodie was only $3! I found it in-store but hopefully they will stock it online.

Kids are notorious for wearing down their shoes fast, so I prefer to buy sneakers that I don’t mind replacing half-way through the school year. For less than $6, these slip-on sneakers are a total steal – I’m considering picking up a backup pair! They’re perfect for when you’re running late in the mornings because kids have no problem slipping them on.

If you prefer to skip the lines, Walmart offers free shipping on most orders $35+, and returns are free too. I rounded up some of my favorite finds for boys and girls below!

Big thanks to Walmart for partnering on this post!
