I keep my daytime makeup routine simple year-round, but especially once school rolls around! I don’t have a ton of time in the morning to get ready before I get the girls off to school. A lot of days, I will just use my tinted SPF moisturizer or SPF foundation serum and go, but today I’m sharing my “full face” routine that only takes 5 minutes. Some days I do less, but this is the most I’ll ever do for daytime unless I have a shoot or meetings in the city.
+ primer: Some days I skip primer, but my current primers in rotation are this one, this one, and this one. Honestly all are amazing. I’m kind of obsessed with primers, and I just tried this one in store and reeeaaally wanted to buy it because it feels like silk on your skin, but told myself I’m going to use up the ones I have before I buy another one. 😉
+ foundation: I switch up my foundations pretty often, but I just bought a new bottle of Luminous Silk and was quickly reminded why I love it so much! I use shade 5.5 (5.25 when I’m less tan).
+ concealer: I shared this deal on stories yesterday, but my holy grail concealer is part of a major deal right now! You can get two bottles of concealer, plus a beauty sponge for $37 and this would normally retail for $64 if sold separately. I use shades light and light medium. I also just purchased this under eye brightener in 0.75 sugar and love it! Both are cult favorites!
+ shimmer stick: I love a good highlight, but during the day I don’t want it to be too intense. This shimmer stick is one of my favorite products for a quick +easy glow. It gives a gorgeous glow without being over-the-top like some highlighters can be. I apply this to my cheekbones, cupid’s bow, forehead, and chin. I apply it directly to my face (after primer, foundation, and concealer), then blend with my damp beauty blender. After this step, I set my face with powder. *I have also added it at the end of my makeup look with a brush – dab the brush directly onto the shimmer stick then gently ‘dot’ it onto your face. Don’t apply the stick to your face if you’ve already set with powder. Both methods work great, but the second gives you more of a dewy finish.
+ translucent setting powder: I’m super picky when it comes to setting powder, and I’ve been using this one for over a year! I’m shocked by how long it has lasted. It’s super fine like powdered sugar (the best), and sets my makeup so well! This is the brush I use with the setting powder – my favorite brush I own! I use this pressed powder (shade ‘fair’) to set my under eye concealer (with the same damp beauty blender I applied my foundation with).
+ bronzer and blush: My go-to bronzer/blush combo lately has been Laguna and Warm Soul. Also loving this bronzer in Global Glow.
+ eyebrows: I had my eyebrows microbladed 4 years ago, and they’ve pretty much worn off at this point, so I’m back to filling in my brows. I’m always trying new brow products but I’m currently using this pencil (in dark brown) or this powder.
+ lips: My lips are neutral 99% of the time, and I love CT ‘Pillow Talk’ & NYX Butter Gloss in ‘Madeleine.’
That’s it! Sometimes I will finish with this setting spray (the best if you want your makeup to stay in place all day!) if I’m feeling extra ambitious.
