Periods and tampons aren’t something people openly talk about even though it’s a natural part of our lives. That’s why we were sold when we discovered LOLA. It’s not just an organic feminine care brand (which we also love), but the entire brand makes it perfectly normal to talk about periods.
We’ve been slowly trying to transition our beauty and personal care products to safer, more natural alternatives this past year. It hadn’t really occurred to us that organic feminine care products were a thing until we found out about LOLA. Unlike other tampon makers who use plastic in their products, LOLA’s are made with 100% organic cotton.
How it works…
LOLA is a subscription based service that makes feminine care products (tampons, pads, liners, etc) from super soft, certified organic cotton. You can choose from a variety of products (we like tampons), which get delivered your front door. We know everything seems to be moving to a subscription model these days, which some people don’t like, but since we can’t really live without tampons, this is actually a major game changer (no more late night runs to the drugstore)! The subscriptions are customizable and convenient to make sure you have what you need, when you need it – and shipping is always free!
Why we like it…
If you didn’t know, your vagina is the most absorbent part of your body, so it’s super important to be aware of what kinds of tampons you’re using. LOLA tampons are made from pure cotton, free of toxins, dyes, or synthetic fibers. We feel really good about using them, plus they’re hypoallergenic and biodegradable. In terms of performance, they’re super comfortable – you won’t even feel like you’re wearing anything and they absorb really well too.
We also love how customizable LOLA’s subscription boxes are – you can specify how absorbent you want your tampons to be (light, medium, super, and super-plus for extra leak protection) and how often each box comes in the mail. This has helped us cut down tremendously on collecting tampons we end up not using.
Even though LOLA is slightly more expensive than your typical drugstore tampons, they partner with nonprofits to donate feminine products to low-income women. We can def get behind this and don’t mind paying a bit more. If you want to try out LOLA, you can save 30% off your first subscription here with the code LATELY30.
We’re also excited to try this essential oil blend that helps with cramps (yess please!). It has 17 essential oils that help improve blood flow and relieve premenstrual tension.

Big thanks to Lola for partnering on this post.
