Over the last few years, bodysuits have become my go-to. Tank tops and t-shirts are always super easy, but sometimes you want to pop it up a notch and bodysuits are perfect for just that. It’s amazing just how versatile one, solitary piece can create so many outfit options! All that to say, I’m so glad bodysuits made such a comeback last season and don’t seem to be going anywhere fast and even happier that Nordstrom has so many good ones to choose from all the time.
A quick search for “bodysuits” on Nordstrom’s site will pop up two full pages of every style of bodysuit you could dream! From long sleeves and puff sleeves to shiny materials and drapey cowl necks, their selection is vast. Truly, there are so many to choose from, you have to be careful not to get lost. This time around, this sleeveless, square neck bodysuit by Topshop immediately caught my eye. I love it for its simplicity and how the ribbed texture keeps it casual with a bit of edge. In general, square necks on bodysuits are my favorite because they are super flattering—feminine yet subtly sexy at the same time! Plus, less material is always better when it comes to Texas summers. I’m constantly trying to find ways to still feel feminine while sweating in the Texas sun, and this kind of bodysuit is the perfect answer.
With a basic base like a bodysuit, outfit options are endless. I decided to pair this one with some of my favorite raw hem, straight leg jeans (also from Topshop at Nordstrom, of course), and pull the entire look together with my new favorite slide heels by Marc Fisher: the Dara slide sandal. These heels are great for summertime: low maintenance, comfortable, and add just the right amount of class to your look. I can wear this look from brunch to errands and out to dinner easily!
This entire look from Nordstrom is most definitely one I have on deck and can’t wait to wear out and about on date night as soon as we’re able to comfortably do that sort of thing again!
