So excited to share my Kybella before & after pictures! I have always wanted a defined chin and did some research on different treatments that were available. I wanted to do something non-invasive and permanent which is why I decided on Kybella. The before pictures were taken March 17 and the after on July 2nd, they say between 8-12 weeks is when you see the results. I answered a bunch of FAQ’s below – if you have any other questions, please leave them in the comment section and I will get back to you!
What is Kybella?
It’s an injection that “melts” fat cells under your chin to improve your profile.
How many vials did you get in your session?
I did 1 vial.
How much did it cost?
I paid $550 for 1 vial.
Is it painful?
I really didn’t think it was that painful. She numbed me so I didn’t feel the needles going in. There was a burning sensation after she injected but it was more annoying than painful. The burning didn’t last too long!
Is Kybella permanent?
Yes, the main ingredient in Kybella is deoxycholic acid. When it’s applied to an area, it destroys fat cells permanently, so those cells will no longer accumulate or store fat. However, the remaining fat cells that haven’t been treated can expand over time. Diet and exercise are key for long last results!
Are there side effects?
The only side effects I experienced were swelling and tenderness. The swelling lasted 7-10 days and the tenderness about 2-3.
How long did the swelling last?
The 7-10 days I looked like a bullfrog and was super swollen!
Are you going to do another round?
Maybe! Probably not anytime soon though!
Did insurance cover it?
No, I paid out of pocket.
Do you have to do anything for after care?
No, I just iced it right after. Nothing else is needed!
Where did you get it done in Dallas and would you recommend the place?
I go to House of Preservation and highly recommend it! I do my botox and lip filler here as well.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
