Lulu’s Nursery: Paint Colors We Used

Sharing the paint details in Lulu’s nursery today. She’s still sleeping in our room for the most part (thankfully, because I still don’t have curtains lol), but it’s coming together in here.  I love how its turned out so far, and the paint colors we went with! It was hard to decide on colors when we didn’t know whether we were having a boy or a girl, but I’m loving the neutral vibe in there now. I’m going to DIY a big painting (for above the dresser) with some pops of pink, think it will be fun and I’ll be sure to share once it’s done.

This room was wallpapered when we moved in – it was previously a little boy’s room, and the wallpaper was cute, but after 3 years and our own baby, we were ready to change it. We decided to panel the room & paint it. I almost painted it the same white we have throughout the rest of our home (Benjamin Moore Cloud Cover), but decided last minute to change it to an old favorite, Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter, Aura, Eggshell. I used the Benjamin Moore Color Portfolio app to ‘test’ the color on the wall first – this app is so fun to play around with, especially if you’re trying to decide on a new paint color for any space! I used the video visualizer to see what the color would look like in the room. This is such a great neutral, and I’ve done it in so many places over the years. I always recommend testing paint in your space before jumping in, just because paint looks different in every room and in different light – it even looks different on the different walls in Lulu’s nursery because of the light, you can see in the photos!

For the French doors, we went with a gorgeous, rich black – Benjamin Moore Onyx, Aura, Satin (still need to clean up the windows a bit). I love the contrast of the room with the dark doors. I’ll be getting a black curtain rod with ivory drapes here, can’t wait to see it once those are up! Benjamin Moore is the only paint I’ve used throughout our home, and I’m always so happy with it! My girls are currently asking to paint their room Love & Happiness, after seeing it in a friend’s room – stay tuned!
